1. How much does it cost to attend the Options Academy – Business?
a. There is a $20 Career-Technical
School Organization fee. All students are a member of DECA (Distributive Education
Clubs of America which is our CTSO.

How is Wendy’s affiliated with this career
technical program?
a. Wendy’s International
has partnered with Butler Tech to offer hands-on career technical program for high school students. In this program you will learn management skills in a school setting and work in an actual Wendy’s
store two full days every week. This on the job training will prepare students
for a fast track career in management.

What Wendy’s restaurant location will
I work?
a. You will have a choice
of Wendy’s restaurant n which to work, based on store employment availability and proximity to the students’ home. On Tuesday and Thursday, the student will provide his or her own transportation the
Wendy’s store where they work.
4. Will I get paid for my work at Wendy’s?
a. Yes. Students enrolled in Options Academy – Business will spend Tuesday and Thursday at a Wendy’s restaurant
location. While on the job, students earn $6.50 – 7:50 per hour in addition
to hands-on training in the food service industry.
5. Will I graduate from Butler Tech?
a. You remain a student of
your high school and will graduate from there. In addition to your high school
diploma, you also receive a career-technical certificate and a career passport from Butler Tech.
6. What if I want to participate in activities at my home school?
a. You are encouraged to
be involved at your home high school AND Butler Tech. Information about activities
that pertain to your home school will be communicated to you by Mr. Morrison.
